Elmwood Pediatrics

Dr. Cleary is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia.  She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University.  She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester, and served for one year as a chief resident in pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Cleary is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Cleary is an Associate Attending Pediatrician at the University of Rochester.  She serves as a medical consultant to a daycare center.  She has leadership positions in the AAP including Treasurer for Chapter 1 NY and the National Committee on Membership. She lives in Pittsford with her husband, an internist, and two children.

Dr. Corwin was born in Brooklyn, educated at Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, graduated from Queens College (CUNY) and received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School.  He completed his pediatric residency and was Chief Resident in Pediatrics at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.  Dr. Corwin is Board certified in Pediatrics and recently completed a six year term on the National Board of Directors of The American Academy of Pediatrics. He is currently Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester and is chair of the Immunization Advisory Council of the State of New York. In January 2011 he was appointed to the Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Bauer received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, N.C. She completed her residency at the University of North Carolina hospitals, and subsequently worked at Duke University Medical Center for a year in the pediatric endocrinology department. She moved to Rochester from Pittsburgh, PA, where she worked for three years in a private practice. A board certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Bauer continues to have a special interest in endocrinology, including issues related to growth and development. She has a clinical appointment at the University of Rochester. Dr. Bauer is fluent in German and Spanish and enjoys traveling abroad with her husband and two children.

Dr. Porter, a native of Buffalo, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from the University Of Maryland School of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was completed at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. She moved to Rochester from Connecticut, where she was in private practice for fourteen years. Board Certified in pediatrics, Dr. Porter is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has a clinical appointment at the University of Rochester. She lives in Pittsford with her husband, a pediatric cardiologist, and two children.
