When you join the Elmwood Pediatric Group, you are joining the first pediatric partnership in the area, formed in 1946 by Dr. Burtis Breese and Dr. Frank Disney. Our office was located in Brighton in Dr. Breese’s home until the late 1960’s, moved to 1580 Elmwood Avenue, and then in 1983 moved to our current main office location at 125 Lattimore Road. Our satellite office at 1000 Pittsford-Victor Road in Bushnell’s Basin opened in 1996.

Our practice is dedicated to providing excellent pediatric care to our patients. We schedule routine well child visits to assess and address your child’s growth and developmental concerns. We offer same-day acute visits for sick children. We are committed to providing laboratory services for our patients in the office so that treatment plans are appropriate. We provide simple surgical care for lacerations, minor orthopedic problems and injuries at the Lattimore Road office.

The Elmwood Pediatric Group has always had a major interest in medical research, initially spearheaded by Drs. Breese and Disney. We have participated in research on new vaccines, and trials of newer antibiotics against streptococcal infections and otitis media (ear infections). We are part of the PROS network, which is a national network of pediatric practices doing a variety of office-based studies under the auspices of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and we cooperate with the National Institutes of Health in research.
